Recently, the 20th Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Guangxi organized a group to participate in the event. Hengxian County, as a member of the group, organized five local tea companies to attend the trade fair. Those companies won 7 awards on site and signed contracts valuing a total of 30.67 million yuan. In the tea evaluation activity, one of the series events of “Guangxi Agricultural Silk Road Journey -- Promotion Festival in Malaysia”, the Changhai Piaoxue Jasmine Tea of Hengxian Changhai Tea Factory in Guangxi won the gold award, and the Xiuhuazhen Jasmine Tea, Mingqian Green Tea and Lixiang Black Tea of Hengxian Southern Tea Factory in Guangxi won two silver awards and one excellent award, respectively.
Xie Zhichuang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Hengxian County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, said that this time, Hengxian County successfully seized the opportunity of “Guangxi Agricultural Silk Road Journey -- Promotion Festival in Malaysia”, and organized tea enterprises to take part in the trade fair and cooperate with the countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative, which would deepen the opening up and cooperation of agriculture in Hengxian County, and play a positive role in the high-quality development of agriculture.
