As the citrus in Wuming District of Nanning is about to go on the market, the district seizes the opportunities brought by the “Wuming Citrus to Beijing” Promotion and the upcoming Spring Festival, constantly integrating resources to create a unified and orderly promotion pattern and to set up the production-supply-marketing network of the whole country, so as to further promote the sales and brand influence of its citrus. Under the guidance of the move of “The CPC Leading Poverty Alleviation through E-commerce” of the district, Zhuangxiang Wangxu Industry Alliance and Wuming District E-commerce Association will jointly hold the Citrus E-commerce Festival. During the 3-month festival, a series of online and offline all-media activities will be held to expand the distribution channel of citrus and to develop citrus culture.
The district has introduced citrus since 2012. In recent years, the citrus industry enjoys rapid development, with the planting area reaching 390,000 mu. The industry is estimated to become a 10-billion-yuan fruit industry by 2020 with a total planting area of over 400,000 mu and an output value of over 10 billion yuan.
