Administration for Industry and Commerce tracks down a batch of starch suspected of trademark infringement

On May 11, the Economic Inspection Team from Administration for Industry and Commerce of Nanning, when conducting inspection in a warehouse of a food plant located in No.5 Beijinan Road, discovered a batch of starch suspected of trademark infringement. After the stocktaking, 293 bags of starch, which was suspected of the infringement on the trademark Dutch Windmill with a total value of over RMB 20,000 yuan, was tracked down.


According to the relevant regulations stipulated in the Trademark Law, using a trademark that is same or similar to a registered trademark in connection with the same goods, without the authorization of the owner of the registered trademark, which may cause public confusion, and selling goods that violate the exclusive right of a registered trademark constitute an infringement of the exclusive right of a registered trademark. The starch suspected of trademark infringement which was tracked down on May 11 had been temporarily withheld for a further investigation.
