Nanning is endowed with good location, facing Southeast Asia, backed by the Great Southwest and bordered by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau in the east and Beibu Gulf in the south. It is located at the junction of the South China Economic Circle, the Southwest Economic Circle, and the China-ASEAN Economic Circle. It is an intersection of the Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation and the Greater Mekong Subregion Cooperation, the Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Cooperation and other multi-regional cooperation.
Nanning East Railway Station is put into use, and Nanning has open high-speed railways to 14 provinces and municipalities nationwide and 11 cities in Guangxi. Focusing on Nanning, the “12310” (that is, 1-hour trip to the surrounding cities of Nanning, and 2-hour trip to all cities in Guangxi, 3-hour trip to the neighboring capital cities around Guangxi and about 10-hour trip to major cities in the country) Guangxi High-speed Railway Economic Circle is basically formed. Rail Transit Line 1 and Line 2 have been operating, and Line 3 and Line 4 are under construction. The space-time distance between Nanning and domestic and foreign cities has been greatly shortened, bringing in more convenient personnel exchanges and more powerful momentum for economic and social development.
