The copper bell in Zhenning Fort of Nanning People’s Park is 180cm high and 120cm in diameter and weighs more than one ton. The inscription on it tells us that it was cast by Commander Wang You in the year 1531 of Ming Dynasty. It was originally hung in the bell tower near No. 39 Minzu Avenue of today and moved to other cities including Baise, Liuzhou, Wuhan, etc. before 1949, and taken back from Wuhan by Guangxi Museum after 1949. It is the biggest copper bell existing in Nanning.
