On May 7, Nong Shengwen, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Committee and Secretary of the CPC Nanning Committee, met with Balumuene, Congolese (DRC) Ambassador to China, in Nanning.

Nong Shengwen extended a warm welcome to Balumuene and his delegation and provided a brief introduction to Nanning's economic and social development. He emphasized that the friendship between China and Africa has deep roots, and China and Congo (DRC) are good friends, good partners, and good brothers.

Balumuene expressed his gratitude for the warm and friendly reception in Nanning and highly praised the city's achievements in economic and social development. He noted that Nanning is a beautiful, vibrant, and strategically located modern city with vast development prospects. The Congolese (DRC) Embassy in China will actively serve as a bridge to promote deeper exchanges and cooperation between Congo (DRC) and Nanning, further tapping into cooperation potential, enhancing collaboration mechanisms, and continually advancing economic and trade exchanges, industrial cooperation, educational collaboration, and cultural exchanges. He also welcomed more Nanning’s enterprises to invest in Congo (DRC) in areas such as industrial park development, infrastructure construction, agriculture, and mining, injecting new momentum into the development of China-Congo (DRC) relations.
