Guangxi implements preferential policies for small passenger cars from other provinces

Recently, the Department of Transportation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in conjunction with the Development and Reform Commission of Guangxi and the Department of Finance of Guangxi, issued “The Notice on Promoting Consumption through Weekend Self-driving Discounts for Small Passenger Cars on Highways in Guangxi” (hereinafter referred to as “The Notice”).

“The Notice” proposes that from May 9 to December 31 in 2025, every Friday (00:00) to Sunday (24:00) (excluding statutory holidays), non-operational Type 1 passenger vehicles, from other provinces and enter Guangxi, exit at any toll station on highways within Guangxi, using ETC payment, will be exempted from vehicle tolls on specific provincial highway sections. At the same time, during the above-mentioned time period, non-operational Type 1 passenger vehicles of non-local origin driving on highways within Guangxi and exiting at any toll station within Guangxi using ETC payment will be given a 50% discount on tolls for highways within Guangxi (including Nanning and Guilin Airport highways), and non-operational Type 1 passenger vehicles of non-local origin using non-ETC payment method will be given a 20% discount on tolls for highways within Guangxi.
