On Oct. 30, 2004, a delegation of over 200 government officials and entrepreneurs from Indonesia arrived in Nanning, being the first foreign national delegation for the Expo. On Nov. 2, leaders from the ASEAN countries headed their delegations and arrived in Nanning. Mr. Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, headed a delegation of 20 government officials. About 200 participants from a dozen of Cambodian companies came along and 17 of the companies displayed their products at the Expo. This is the first time that Cambodia organized a delegation of such high rank, with such great number of participants to the expo abroad and such number of products for display. Lt-General Soe Win, Prime Minister of Myanmar, headed an official delegation made up of ministers in charge of commerce, foreign affairs and planning. H.E. Mr. Boungnang Vorachith, Premier of the Laos, PDR came arrived with a delegation made up of senior government officials including those in Ministry of Trade, Foreign Affairs and planning and Investment. Along with the official delegation, heads of about 20 big enterprises and some well-known private enterprises came with their products. H.E. Mr. Phinij Jarusombut, Vice Prime Minister of Thailand headed an official delegation with 80 members including Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce. Zhen Mingru, President of Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, headed a delegation made up of over ten members of Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce including Vice President and members of board. Chen Hanshi, Vice President of Thai-Chinese Friendship Association came with a delegation of over 100 members from Business and Trade. H.E. Mr. Pham Gia Khiem, Vice Prime Minister of Viet Nam headed a government official delegation for the Expo.
