Exhibition Pavilions

The 2nd China-ASEAN Expo is furnished with 15 exhibition halls/pavilions, of which the total exhibition area covers 50,000 square meters to offer some 3,000 standard exhibition booths. The outdoor raw space reaches 26,000 square meters, enough to accommodate 500 international standard exhibition booths. There are 11 meeting halls/rooms with a floor area of 1,810 square meters. The Expo is structured around four themes, and accordingly the exhibition area is divided into four exhibition pavilions as follows: commodity trade pavilion, investment & cooperation pavilion, tourism pavilion, and national pavilion.

 

1.  The National Pavilion

Taking ¡°City of Charm¡± as its main subjective, the National Pavilion will focus on promotion of specific cities (regions) in China and ASEAN. Each country will select one or two typical cities (regions) to demonstrate its comprehensive features and achievements in trade, tourism, investment, science & technology, culture, and human resource cooperation.

 

2.  The Commodity Trade Pavilion

In this Pavilion, commodities will be exhibited according to categories, while commodities from the same country (region) and under the same category will likely be arranged into a group. Priority will be given to the following categories:

Machinery & Equipment

Emphasizing autos (motorcycles) & related fittings, food processing & packing machinery, printing machinery, agricultural machinery, sewing machinery, construction machinery and power-generating equipment

Electronics & Household Appliances

Emphasizing household appliances, low-voltage switches, lamps & lights fixtures, and IT products

Hardware & Construction Materials

Emphasizing small hardware. construction and decorative materials and sanitary wares

Light Industry Products & Handicrafts

Emphasizing handicrafts, plastic products, furniture and bicycles

Agricultural Products & Foods

Emphasizing ¡°Early Harvest¡± products which constitute a large trade volume between China and ASEAN countries, including fruits, vegetables, aquatic products, grain products and special grain foods

 

3.  The Investment & Cooperation Pavilion

Project Promotion:

This theme focuses on cities and various economic & technological development zones, introduces investment policies and environment of different countries, releases investment information and establishes project partnership.

International Economic Cooperation

Featured in the ¡°Go Global¡± strategy for Chinese enterprises, this theme aims at conducting international project contracting, labor services cooperation, overseas export processing cooperation, resources exploitation, agriculture cooperation, marketing analysis, project assessment and relative financing services.

Advanced & Practical Techniques

This section is intended to demonstrate the latest but useful technical achievements, to undertake investment and business negotiation, and to further the technological cooperation between China and ASEAN.

 

4.  The Tourism Pavilion

This Pavilion serves to promote ¡°Cities of Charm¡± in China and ASEAN and to display the hotel facilities and tourist attractions.

The office is fully in charge of the on-site affairs of all kinds, including the transport of exhibits, set-up and construction of exhibition booths, on-site services, coordination with the customs service and commodity inspection and quarantine authority, coordinating the administration of the exhibition pavilions of the Expo, etc.

 

2.  Customer Service Center

The center is a specially-designated venue of the Exhibition Operation Office, providing services in the areas as follows: set-up, restructuring and construction of exhibition booths, transport of exhibits, on-site advertisement, facility rental, water & power supply, business service, access to internet (broadband), translation & interpretation and etiquette.

 

3.  Certificate Service Center

The center is in charge of issuing and delivering passes to transport and construction personnel, exhibitors, professional visitors and staff members of all related administration units.

 

4. Security Office

The office is to work out security plans and maintain order during the Expo, including prevention of explosion, sabotage, fire and theft, handle security affairs, criminal cases and unexpected incidents. 

 

5.  Reception Office

The office is responsible for the reception of VIPs and the arrangement of participants¡¯ activities during the Expo. It takes care of the pre-registration of participants from home and abroad, as well as the on-the-spot registration of participants. It is also responsible for the arrangements of accommodations & meals of distinguished guests and delegations to the Expo, as well as the greeting & seeing-off services for them during the Expo.

 

6.  Press Center

The center is in charge of news releases to the public and reception of press media.
