Cocoon silk is a Chinese traditional product and covers more than 70% of the market share in the international market. Silk products always share a fairly fixed textile market due to their excellent characteristics. With people¡¯s growing awareness of health and favor on inartificial products, with China¡¯s entry into the WHO, demand for Chinese cocoon silk products is increasingly growing in the international market, and the market prospect looks good. Nanning possesses a preferentialindustry foundation for silkworm, and is the key silkworm production base in Guangxi. Farmers there have the tradition of raising mulberry and silkworm. With the technical advantage of breeding more times of silkworm, high output and low cost, more than 1000 dans of cocoon is produced in 48 villages and townships annually. Currently, silkworm production in China is gradually transferring from East to South especially to Guangxi. In recent years, new mulberry and silkworm breed has been promoted and standardized and sericiculture technology facilitates development and fresh cocoon quality improved. The existing mulberry park covers an area of 250,000 mu, the annual breeding of silkworm for 700,000 pieces, producing fresh cocoon for 470,000 dan with cocoon output ranks first place in Guangxi. Mulberry species are mainly Guisangyou 12 and Guisangyou 63, silkworm breeds are Liangguang No.2 Guican No. 1. Moreover, the cocoon produced has the characteristic of high unraveling rate and high cleanness, from which top quality raw silk can be reeled. At present there are 7 silk reeling mills, producing raw silk 700t annually, raw silk grade reaching above 3A+0.5.
¢¢. Anticipated Economic Benefits
When the Project is completed and put into operation, 300t of white steam filature above grade 2A£«50 can be produced annually, except 180t for self silk weaving, 120t can be exported. Silk 3 million meters can be weaved with sales revenue RMB 36million, byproduct income RMB4.5 million. And the annual profit is RMB 6 million.

The State encourages foreign investment in the Project which is entitled to relevant preferential policies for China¡¯s Western Development Program, for coastal open cities issued by the State, Province, and Nanning encouraging investment in agricultural projects. Among the preferential policies, land supply charges within the Park are respectively RMB24,800/mu if investment ranging from RMB 10 to 20 million, RMB18,800/mu if investment ranging from RMB20 to 30 million, RMB13,800/mu if investment ranging from RMB30 to 50 million, industrial water tariff RMB0.86/m3, benchmark electricity tariff RMB 0.406 to 0.446/kw.

Advantageous geographic location£ºLiujing Industrial Park is located in the intersection of two expressways: Guilin to Beihai, and Nanning to Guangzhou, 47km away from Nanning. Guixiang Railway Liujing Station and Liqin Hengxian Station are situated here. Waterway can handle 1000t ships, up to Baise, Nanning, down to Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. And Liujing is 70km away from Nanning International Airport.
Silkworm and filature industry is a labor-intensive industry, with the industry transferred from East China, unique climate and geographic location of Nanning, and also breeding more times of silkworm with high output and low cost, Nanning bears unique advantages in development of silkworm industry.
