  The total area of Xiangsihu Lake Theme Park is 4948mu, of which land area takes up 2762 mu and water area takes up 2186 mu. The park reaches the foot of the dam of Tianbao Reservoir and the Ring Expressway to the north, going down from the north to the south passing Kelijiang Avenue, Xiangsihu North Road, Xiangsihu Lake, Daxue Road and ending at the Road and Dike project---the junction point of the Kelijiang River and the Yongjiang River.
  The designed total length of the riverside scenery for Xiangsihu Lake Theme Park is about 4.3km. The total width alongside both banks of the rivers is limited to 100m within which it is planned to carry out landscaping with trees and grass to form a riverside ecological greenbelt of vegetation. Beyond the 100m wide area, it is planned to be built such facilities as squares and centralized landscaping areas. The park will be built into a national first class ecological tourist site with fantastic scenery and beautiful environment characterized by the natural environment, human history, national customs, water recreational entertainment, forest holiday tour, subtropical local style that center around the theme of ecological environmental protection integrated with tourism, holiday and recreation .

  The project site is provided with convenient traffic facilities with water and power supply as well as communication facilities being able to meet the requirement of the project construction.

  Ⅸ. Capital Source: Application has been made to ADB for partial funding and loan from the national debt. The Remaining part will be covered by introduced capital.

  Ⅺ. Analysis on Market and Anticipated Economic Benefits
  The development and construction of Xiangsihu New District is a measure taken by the CPC Nanning Committee and Nanning Municipal Government in the new century to serve the CAEXPO, promote the new drive of opening up and construct a big Nanning to make Nanning a modernized international city. It is also a symbolic project in the implementation of the “136” Program to bring about drastic changes to Nanning in six years. Xiangsihu Lake Theme Park is another large-scale park with lake scenery after the development and construction of Nanhu Lake Park. It is the center of the Xiangsihu New District. The development and construction of the theme park will no doubt be of great significance to the improvement of the quality of the Xiangsihu New District and to the increasing of the land value in the surrounding areas.
  The park will be built into a national first class ecological tourist site with fantastic scenery and beautiful environment characterized by the natural environment, human history, national customs, water recreational entertainment, forest holiday tour, subtropical local style that center around the theme of ecological environmental protection integrated with tourism, holiday and recreation. It will become a public open natural environment in the west suburb of Nanning, forming a natural reserved area by the riverside greenbelt along the Kelijiang River and Tianbao Reservoir, becoming a place of interest to attract the residents of Nanning and the people in the surrounding areas to come for their weekends and for holidays.
  Ⅻ. Progress of Preparation Work: The Feasibility Study Report has been completed.
  XIII. Project Competitive Advantages
  The project is entitled to the national preferential policies for the Western Development, preferential policies for coastal open cities, related preferential policies of Nanning , as well as investment and financing policies of Nanning for the enclosed administration zone of Xiangsihu New District and other preferential policies of Nanning for investment promotion.
  XIV. Project Owner
  Nanning Administration Committee of Xiangsihu New District is a governmental agency of Nanning Municipal government. Its duties and responsibilities are to exercise its administrative right over the 69k㎡ of the whole region by unified guidance, unified planning, unified policies, and unified administration. It is entitled to the administrative power of the municipal level, taking charge of the planning and construction as well as the investment promotion for the New District. With a simplified and highly efficient system, the Committee is fully functional in its service with simple procedures in examining and approving projects by providing “one-stop” examination and approval and “one-package” service. (Located in the west suburb of Nanning on the upstream of the Yongjiang River, Nanning Xiangsihu New District has a total planned area of 127k㎡. The New District is mainly planned for the construction of the higher education base, high and new-tech industrial base, administrative and business service area, cultural and sports center, supported with real estate development, business and trade and tourism industry, etc.)
