Since the establishment of the relationship between Bundaberg and Nanning as sister cities was launched a lot of fruitful goodwill exchanges in economy and tourism occurred, for which Bundaberg was given awards for two consecutive years by the National Conference of Sister City of Australia.
In April, itinerant exhibitions of 61 artistic works of both cities were held in Nanning.
