For the license-controlled import goods, the following licenses are issued by Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region: 2 license-controlled goods with common quota, 14 importers of foreign investment enterprises, all quotas for imported goods through petty border trade (with specific registration), license-controlled goods (catalogues shall be referred to in the sections of Foreign Trade Administration and Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation)
I. Undertaking section
All matters concerned shall be undertaken by Section of Foreign Trade Administration of the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Nanning City.
II. Conditions that entities applying for import licenses must satisfy
Entities applying for import licenses must have the right of importing operations for relevant goods approved by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
III. Papers to be submitted when applying for import licenses
1. Application form of import license (with official seals of the license-applying unit and the foreign part);
2. Photocopy of the business contract (certificate of entrustment with seals shall be submitted in the case of entrusting or being agent of other units);
3. Quota certificate issued by quota administration departments or importing registration certificate of specific commodities and their photocopies;
4. Those who attend to the application shall present valid identification, such as their license-receiver cards or references issued by their units.
IV. Application procedures
The application presented by foreign trade and economic enterprises shall be submitted to the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Nanning City after being examined and verified by the local economic and trade departments of all districts and counties (cities), while that by enterprises under the municipal jurisdiction shall be submitted to the said Bureau directly, which shall be forwarded to Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region after being examined and verified.
