They are known as love beans. In fact, love beans have two varieties. One is the seeds from red bean trees. It is brightly red and 1.5Ò»2cm long, belonging to the tree species of the bean family. The other is the seed of perennial trailing herb. This seed is about the size of a soybean and is known as ¡°jequirity bean¡±, ¡°mandarin duck bean¡±, or ¡°love bean¡±. It is glossy and red on the top and black on the bottom.
