The Beiqiu Site of Dingshishan Mountain

Located by the right side of Yongjiang River in Yongning County, it is a site of ancient human of the new stone age, which has existed 5000 years ago. The oval mountain stretches from south to north and goes upward from west to east, covering an area of about 4,000 square meters. The site was listed as one of 1997's 10 Greatest Archaeological Discoveries in China and one of  the large-scale national historical site displaying centers. Famous archaeologists at home and abroad are enchanted by this particular pre-historic culture, represented by the peculiar dismembering, flexed burial, complete earthenware and clearly-layered cultural array, whose connotation, significance and scientific value can rival the Banpo Museum in XiˇŻan and Hemudu Museum in the lower reach of the Yangtze River.
