Bureau of Agriculture has the following main responsibilities:

1.　To draw up and implement the construction and development planning of the marketing system for major agricultural products, to guide and coordinate the market system construction and the programmed management of agricultural production materials, to organize and instruct the collection, the issuing and the network establishment of agricultural information, and to participate in organizing the processing and circulation of agricultural products.

2.　To organize and guide structure adjustments in agricultural industry and reasonable distributions of agricultural resources.

3.　To investigate and put forward the development planning and the plans for agricultural scientific research, education and the spreading of technology, to organize the implementation of the agricultural vitalization strategy through science and education

4.　To investigate and put forward the annual plan for the production of food and oil crops, policy suggestions and main technical measures, and phase proposals for production management, to draw up and organize the implementation of plans for new product development of food and oil crops and for experiments of new technology.

5.　To be responsible for planning, guideline plans, policy proposal and main technical measures and phase proposal on the production management of the development of economic crops.

6.　To draw up the working policy concerning the production and the supply of vegetables and the development plan for the base construction of “Basket Project”, to investigate, establish and evaluate the Basket Project and to organize the construction of its production centers;

7.　To be responsible for the drawing-up of the development planning and plans for livestock husbandry and animal industry and to carry out the industrialized management.
